Like many digital instruments, your aura camera is delicate and requires careful handling. This is an expensive and intricately designed piece of equipment. If you don’t maintain it well, it many generate faulty results and disrupt your aura reading business. Regular maintenance is absolutely essential and here’s how you can do it.
1 – Check it Everyday
You should check your aura camera every day before you use it. You need to make sure that the lens is clean, that there’s no dust on the lens cover, and that it works well. It’s a good idea to take a few trial shots before your clients start coming in to get their aura photographed. This would ensure that your camera is in proper working order for the day.
2 – Clean it
After you’ve finished working, don’t pack your camera away without cleaning it first. Most aura cameras will come with a user manual and instructions on how to clean it. You should follow the instructions carefully, especially when you’re cleaning the lens. The lens is the most sensitive part of the camera. If it has dust or scratches on it, the image quality will be affected.
3 – Keep it Away from Water
You need to keep your camera away from water. If you conduct aura photography sessions outdoors, you should carry protective rain gear with you. The moment it starts to rain, cover the camera and take it to a dry place. If the camera becomes wet, wipe away the excess moisture and let it dry completely before you store it. If you don’t let it dry, the moisture will get trapped inside the camera and damage it.
4 – Don’t Drop Your Camera
This is a no-brainer but it’s important to be very careful when you handle the aura camera. If you don’t have a solid grip, don’t lift it. The camera has several delicate parts that can crack or break if it’s dropped.
5 – Pack it Securely
If you want to travel with your camera, make sure that it’s packed securely. Most aura camera manufacturers will sell a travel case that can keep your camera secure. You should store your camera in that case and avoid checking it in when you travel. While the box will protect your camera from rough handling and impacts, we advise to not take that risk.
6 – Store It Well
If you don’t plan to use the aura camera for a long time, store it carefully. The camera should be protected from dust and moisture. You can do this by sealing the camera inside a case. You should also add a few packets of silica to the case. That would keep moisture at bay. If you do this, your camera should be ready for use every time you take it out of storage.
Poor maintenance can have an impact on the performance of your aura camera. That, in turn, can have an impact on your reputation as an aura reader. We recommend that you read the instruction manuals carefully before you start using the camera.
